Questioning Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman

Mr. Hussain took the forum to address Mufti Muneeb ur Rahman as well. He questions by saying, “I respect Mufti Muneeb, yet he is unable to see the moon so how can he see the corona virus.”

Mr. Fawad also placed concern over Ministry of Religious Affairs. He questioned, “If the heads of committee under Government do not take government’s orders seriously, so how can we ask others?”

Mr. Hussain has had several fights with religious leaders as soon he took over his new ministry. He has categorically given opinion that the religious clergy should adopt and accept latest technological tools. The key issue remains moon sighting in the months of Ramadan and Shawaal. Both of these months are eminent as Muslims all over the world initiates Fasting in the month of Ramadan. They end Fasting and celebrate Eid at the beginning of Shawaal.

The announcement is likely to help ease the crisis. The Muslims of Pakistan have been unable to start the month of Ramadan or celebrate Eid on a single day for years.

How Muslims begin Ramadan Globally?

Globally, there are a number of countries who celebrate Ramadan and Eid with Saudi government. These countries includes USA, UK, European States and Australia. A number of Central Asian countries also follow the same. Afghanistan and Bangladesh also follow the suit.

Thus, Mr. Hussain opts to take the lead. He announces, Ramadan starts on Saturday 25th April.
