Nora Fatehi did odd jobs before Bollywood including waitress and shawarma salesgirl. The 28 year old Bollywood diva has come up with her story. While she is the rising entertainment in the Bollywood; Nora also has another side of her personality. She shares her experience of defeating poverty by all hard work.

Living in poverty, she began to work at the age of sixteen. She would work in different retail stores, even men shops as sales girl.

The positions include bar girl and waitress as well as selling Shwarmas. She even worked in McDonalds for sometime.

“My first-ever job was as a retail sales associate in a mall which was right next to my high school so I would finish my classes and go there. I was 16. I had to work for many reasons. There were a lot of financial issues in my family and I was supposed to be the one that would step up and be the breadwinner,” she said.

“I was working in a men’s clothing store so I was selling suits, putting outfits together and all that. After that, I did numerous things. I worked as a waitress in restaurants, bars and shawarma places. I worked in a telemarketing office, cold calling people and selling lottery tickets.

Her story is very inspiring for millions of girls living under the poverty line in India. Let’s hope many others follow her footsteps.
