Why do people get divorced

Why do people get divorced? In today’s world, this is the most common thing happening around us. And, if we look into it, we can certainly agree that it is about several factors. And, then about circumstances in each case. One can see that our world is getting into great advancements in every field. And, women are on the top of achievement. However, it has also changed the overall social strata around us. This is definitely resulting in changing patterns of our lives. And thus, more separations, exclusions and ultimately divorce.

Most importantly, the marriage cycle has changed completely in the present world. Previously, the people used to marry early. While they were creating a career and they had dreams. They had to buy their dream house or get their dream job or their dream car. People married and dreamed together!

They struggled together. They valued each other more because they lived good and bad times together. Their partner really was their better half.

Why do people get divorced?

Today everyone is whole. They build their dreams before marriage. They have their dream job, car and house before marriage. When all the dust has settled, and their life is settled into a comfortable bed of roses, they get married.

The ones who have not held your hand at your worst, will never live their lives understanding you, because there is nothing left to understand about you. They flinch at the slightest crack in your boat and label it incompatibility.

Moreover, there are more divorces in today’s society because there has been a big change in the attitude of people in regards to the institution of marriage itself, women and the way of life.

Divorces which were seen in a very bad light earlier are not seen like that now. Society and people have become more accepting of it.

Reasons of Divorce

Most women were earlier raised teaching them how they should obey their elders and husband. And they need not study rather learn various home chores which would help them manage their homes later on. But now with awareness, improvement in literacy and development, people have started focusing on their daughters as much as they focus on their sons, especially in metros.

Consequently women are more aware about their identity, their rights, their likes, their will and they no more believe themselves to be any lesser than men. Their participation in workforce has increased manifold and their role is no more confined to being a home maker which has made them more confident, self-independent and strong enough to not take any wrong doing from anyone.

The Negative Impact

On the negative side, people no more have the patience and commitment that used to be there earlier. Be there some issue and they are ready to take divorces. Egos of people are much bigger than they were anytime earlier. No one wants to adjust. No one wants to compromise. With social media and more social engagements people compare a lot with others leading to more cravings and unsatisfactory lives. Flings outside marriages which were rare earlier is common now a days because of different reasons which again has led to an increase in the number of divorces.

So, the increase is surely a result of many factors playing alongside. At some places increase is justified and at others it saddens but everything comes at a price and so does development.
