Its location is in between the Islamabad Zoo and Pir Sohawa tourist spots of Islamabad. It is about 2400 ft. from sea level and almost 500 ft. from the city of Islamabad. It is a popular destination for the residents as well as the visitors to the capital. Monkeys are a common sight during winter. Cheetahs are frequently reported to descend from higher hills in the city of Murree.

The site is famous for its natural beauty with greenery spread across the site. It features several tourist focused facilities and adventures. A few hiking trails also cross the area of Daman-e-Koh. Moreover, it hosts several restaurants, kiosks, games and other facilities for tourists. Telescopes are installed for keen observers.
