TEVTA comes out in support of Punjab Government. The Chairperson TEVTA Punjab Mr. Ali Salman Siddique met Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Usman Buzdar here today. During the meeting, Mr Siddique presents a cheque worth PKR 7.2 Million in CM Corona Relief Fund.

He also briefed the CM regarding TEVTA’s Rapid Response to Covid-19 by distribution of PKR 6.3 Million Rashan Bags by TEVTA Employees. This is one of the highest amount from an organization of TEVTA’s scale across the country.

Moreover, it also includes development & distribution of 60,480 Masks, 1000 Gloves, 600 PPEs, 500 Face Shields, 2635 Hand Sanitizers & Splitter Valves (Ventilation). All these materials are made by TEVTA. The CM appreciated TEVTA’s efforts to support Government.of Punjab’s efforts to curtail Covid-19.

Further, TEVTA was formed through an Ordinance (No XXIV of 1999) promulgated by Governor of the Punjab. After replacement, it has become TEVTA ACT (ACT X of 2010) Punjab.

Moreover, the Mission Statement of TEVTA states, “To enhance global competitiveness in Punjab, through a quality and productive workforce by developing demand driven, standardized, dynamic and integrated technical education and vocational training service.”

TEVTA support technical education, skills development and vocational training for youth of Punjab. The organization has several service centers.

Further, one of the key initiatives of TEVTA includes Punjab Tianjin University of Technology (PTUT). Its purpose is to strengthen the technical education in Punjab. The formation of PTUT is in collaboration with three prestigious Chinese Universities. These are Tianjin University of Technology and Education, Tianjin Polytechnic University and Tianjin Chenjian University. Furthermore, under an agreement signed with Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), Punjab, PTUT will usher in an era of modern technological culture, responding to the emerging industrial growth under the CPEC initiative.
