The entire police force came up with letters for leave after the provincial chief was allegedly picked up by the sector commander of Pakistan Rangers
Sindh Police shows strongest character across the globe. The entire police force came up with letters for leave after their Inspector General of Police (commander) was picked up by some other agency officials.
It was without any precedent as it was the first time that a police chief was kidnapped by another state agency. According to initial reports, the police chief was forced to sign the arrest warrants of an opposition leader who was visiting Karachi for a political gathering.
The local media reports say that Captain Safdar of PML-N held a rally at Pakistan’s founder’s mausoleum. He raised slogans favoring the founder’s sister and in support of his party’s motto. However, this move did not go well with the establishment in Pakistan. They wanted to arrest him insultingly. However, the IGP didn’t believe in creating a mess and instead thought to bring about a normal arrest.
Thus, he was picked by some unknown officials at 4 a.m. in the morning. Ultimately, he was forced to sign the document which resulted in arrest of PMLN leader.
The next day, the entire police force came up with letters seeking leave from their offices. The move was so powerful that the strong establishment in Pakistan had to bow down and order an inquiry.
Such moves are only visible to people in Bollywood movies. However, Sindh police has shown that it has a stronger character than the one which is shown in movies even.
