Palestinian President Appeals to UN to End Gaza Conflict. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has called on the United Nations to take immediate action to halt the ongoing war in Gaza. In an urgent appeal, Abbas stressed the need for international intervention to stop the escalating violence between Israel and Palestinian groups in the region. Which has already claimed hundreds of lives.

Abbas highlighted the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. Where continuous airstrikes and clashes have left civilians trapped in a worsening crisis. He emphasized that the international community, particularly the UN, has a moral obligation to step in and broker a ceasefire to prevent further bloodshed. “This war must end immediately,” Abbas stated, warning that continued conflict would only lead to more suffering and instability in the region.

The Palestinian leader also reiterated the need for a long-term solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, calling for renewed efforts toward a two-state solution. He argued that peace and security in the region can only be achieved through diplomatic dialogue, not military action.

In addition to his call for an immediate ceasefire, President Abbas urged the UN to provide urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza. Where medical supplies, food, and water are running critically low.

Whereas, WHO Moves Polio Vaccinations to Northern Gaza. The World Health Organization (WHO) shifted its polio vaccination campaign to northern Gaza due to disruptions in other parts of the region. Ongoing conflict and humanitarian challenges have complicated the effort, with health services and infrastructure severely impacted. The WHO is concerned about the rising risk of a polio outbreak as access to healthcare becomes increasingly limited.

However, Abbas warned that without swift international assistance, the civilian population faces a humanitarian catastrophe. Abbas also appealed for global solidarity in condemning the ongoing violence and supporting peace efforts.

The UN Secretary-General has expressed concern over the deteriorating situation, but concrete steps toward a resolution remain unclear. Abbas’s appeal adds pressure on global powers to act decisively in mediating the conflict and ensuring the protection of civilians.

The ongoing violence in Gaza has drawn global concern. With calls from various world leaders urging both sides to show restraint. However, the conflict shows little sign of easing, as rocket fire and airstrikes continue unabated.

Abbas’s plea to the UN underscores the critical need for international mediation to prevent further escalation. The UN Security Council is expected to hold emergency talks on the situation in the coming days.
