Pakistani government is putting efforts for increasing the IT exports and making special efforts in this regard
Pakistani IT exports surge to US $379.251 million in this Q1 of 2020. Pakistan was missing the IT exposure from global arena for a long time. However, the government is realizing the importance of industry and putting efforts towards increasing IT exports.
The Ministry of IT & Telecom is showing its commitment for increasing the IT exports and making special efforts in this regard. Thus, Pakistan’s IT Industry has recorded yet another milestone of stellar performance in export earnings growth.

The IT & IT enabled Services (ITeS) export remittances comprising of computer services and call center services. They have surged to US $379.251 million at a growth rate of 43.55% during the first three months (July-September) of FY 2020-21. This is in comparison to US $264.187 million during the same period during FY 2019-20. This is as per performance report of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). PSEB is the attached department of Ministry of IT and Telecommunication.
Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque has a word on this achievement. He says that government is taking all possible steps to ensure long term IT industry growth trajectory. Moreover, he adds that it is focusing to enhance IT industry exports. He also lauded the IT sector for its contributions to Pakistan. Mr. Haque adds that Pakistan’s IT industry has reached an important milestone in its journey. He further adds that it has the potential to be the largest foreign exchange earner for Pakistan.
