Earlier, the business community of Sialkot were able to launch their own airport. Sialkot International Airport serves domestic and international flights for entire region.

Launching of Air Sial

AirSial was launched to by the local chamber of commerce to improve air travel to and from the Sialkot region. Sialkot is a major industrial city in the Punjab province. The airline plans to initially serve domestic destinations within Pakistan from their main hub at city’s international airport. However, it has plans to launch international flights from Sialkot soon. AirSial plans to further expand to destinations within the Middle East in the first phase. It may also serve the other parts of the world at a later stage.

Air Sial has initially signed an agreement to lease three Airbus A320-200. The company put the announcement of arrival of its third place on 11 December, 2020. It was only one day after Prime Minister Imran Khan came for inauguration of Air Sial.
