Oman Introduces Safety Guidelines for Jet Ski Operators. The Omani government has introduced new safety guidelines for jet ski and marine operators in an effort to improve safety on its waters. Recently Oman has launched a free 10-day visa to boost tourism.

The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has outlined several key requirements. Jet ski operators must now obtain mandatory licenses and undergo safety training before venturing into Oman’s waters. In addition, marine operators must ensure that their equipment meets safety standards and that all passengers wear life jackets.

Omani authorities have expressed concern over the rising number of water-related accidents. According to the ministry, the new rules aim to curb reckless behavior and improve emergency response capabilities. Fines and penalties for non-compliance have also been introduced. With authorities planning to conduct regular inspections of marine facilities and operators.
