ISI briefs Prime Minister Imran Khan on Corona Virus. Prime Minister Imran Khan visits ISI headquarters in Islamabad to attend the briefing. The briefing covers the entire spectrum of challenges in fighting the corona virus.

Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General Lt. General Faiz Hameed received the Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff.

A number of federal ministers, advisers and senior leadership of Pakistan Army was also present in the briefing.

“No effort would be spared for security, integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan,” emphasized Prime Minister. He also appreciated the sacrifices and contributions of ISI.

Federal Ministers Mr. Asad Umer, Mr. Hafeez Sheikh, Dr. Farogh Naseem and Mr. Omar Ayub were also present in the meeting.

A number of intelligence agencies are gaining key role in dealing with corona virus. The issue revolves around imposing curfews and lock downs as well as managing economic and civic lives. Thus, it was imperative that a national security briefing be given to key government officials.

Thus, the inclusion of senior cabinet members shows that any policy will be made in coordination of all stakeholders.
