The embankments in four northern districts of Rangpur division were flooding as a result. The floods affect 51,000 people in various villages of the area.

India has recently been embroiled in serious regional controversies with all its neighbors. These include border disputes with China, Pakistan, Nepal and Bhutan. Moreover, India is also using river waters as a threat to Pakistan. Usually, it also opens up water gates in its territory with Pakistan as well to cause flooding in the country. Pakistan has also been a victim of India’s flood planning against its neighbors.

The recent opening of water gates against Bangladesh is a similar Indian approach of devastating Muslims within and outside its borders.
