Pakistani government has banned the housing society to advertise or promote itself to the general public
An advertisement from illegal housing societies showcases the Turkish actor as its ambassador
Illegal housing society in Pakistan fools Ertugrul as Brand Ambassador. The Turkish actor is promoting a housing society which is illegal as it does not have relevant No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to promote itself. The government has restricted the management of society. The restriction is to stop promoting itself or selling the plots until they obtain an NOC.
The Blue World City has an NOC for Phase-I but it is awaiting the NOC for Phase-II. The government has barred it to advertise and promote. However, the management of Blue World City did not listen to the government orders and continues to operate against the governmental directive.

Rawalpindi Development Authority sent notices to different housing societies on June 03, this year. The notices are under Section Punjab Private Housing Scheme and Land Subdivision Rules 2010. Blue World City is one of the five illegal societies which are sent notices.
It includes Khanyal Homes and Blue World City on Chakri Road, Rudn Enclave, Encro Farmhouses on Adyala Road, Broha Farmhouses in Murree area. The five societies were asked to stop illegal advertisements and development work on these societies.
Verdict of RDA
The Rawalpindi Development Authority asked these societies to stop illegal advertisements. However, the societies continue to lure public through different promotional activities. These include engaging famous celebrities, social media campaigns and other promotional activities.

Further, the RDA has also requested Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and PTCL that they should not provide any services in these housing societies. The request says that no electricity, gas or telephone connection may be provided in these illegal housing societies.
However, the management of Blue World City took a step further and engaged the famous Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan for its promotional campaign and brought him as its brand ambassador. It is for sure that the Turkish actor wouldn’t be knowing that he has been fooled and he is promoting a housing society which has no NOC. And, rather it has a ban to promote itself.
