Google beats all video call applications with one update.
Google Duo becomes the first free video call application that can connect up to 100 people at a time. Initially, Google Duo had 4 users and then an update took it to 8, and later on 12 could connect at a time.
Moreover, in the new update, Google implements a new AV1 video codec to all Duo calls to improve video call quality over slower internet connections.
Google launches Google Duo application to help users stay in touch with the people they haven’t been able to see due to the social distancing measures in place across the globe.
Google Duo can be operating on desktop and mobiles as well. The user has to login with google account and starts digital meetups. Its use is private and business purposes at the same time. Furthermore, there is no charges or time limit like other premium applications.
Google Duo calls can now kick-start from Google Chrome. The feature is only in preview at the moment, so it will undergo more beta testing before it’s roll out to millions of users worldwide.
