Lemons are strongly antibacterial and antiviral, high in antioxidants and vitamin C which makes it very effective for good health. Thus, it can be helpful in increasing one’s immunity to fight bacteria and viruses. It can also be very beneficial against corona virus, some studies show.

Several researchers also link lemon water with weight loss and detoxifying our body. Lemon contains citric acid which, when fully digested and metabolized, has an alkalizing effect on our body. Even if lemon juice boosts bone strength and overall health, it is important to consume it wisely.

Lemon water is most effective if consumed first thing in the morning. It is better to add lemon juice to warm water because it helps extract vitamin C and polyphenols from the lemon and its peel.

Honey and lemon water or a delicious lemonade can be a good booster for our liver and kidney. Also, lemon water is good for the replenishment of ascorbic acid or vitamin C in our body which is important for healthy hair and heart.

Lemon juice is believed to help with constipation as well as it prevents the formation of stones in kidneys. So, it can be agreed upon that we can drink lemon water every day and drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning as it contains potassium which is an essential nutrient required during the summer season. Also, lemon juice squeezed over salads can be good for the absorption of iron in our body.
