PIA to Operate a Special Flight to Carry Parliamentarians for the Session. The special flight will bring total 105 parliamentarians from Karachi and Quetta. These parliamentarians include members of National Assembly and Senate.
It is in the context as President Arif Alvi summons the joint session of parliament to discuss the situation of corona virus around the country by May 11. The number of corona patients are increasing everyday and the Federal Government is about to lift up the lock-down. The parliamentarians will be discussing many aspects of corona virus in the special session of Parliament.
The special flight PK-365 will take-off from Karachi to Quetta at 8 am on Monday.
According to PIA, they will ensure the social distancing in-plane and at the airport as well. After carrying the acclaimed numbers of Parliamentarians, the flight will fly directly towards Islamabad airport.
On landing at the airport, they will practice a short exercise of precautions and then they will leave for parliament house. Likewise, they will be ensuring social distancing with in parliament as well. This is also the reason to bring only 105 members rather than 342.
However, transportation across the country is currently suspended due to corona virus. On the other hand, only PIA is allowed to conduct special flights within and outside the country.
Meanwhile, with all their services they get many of their flight staff testing positive of corona virus. It seems like the purpose of the session of Parliament is to show national unity and strength against the novel corona virus. As Prime Minister used to earlier ask about unity against the pandemic virus.
